1. I think, Honda has a ability to go on and on, but It dont really done on shine.
2. When Compare to the bikes in its segment, are more beautiful and goodlooking with double cradle, alloy wheels, disk break, electric start. with some more cost.
3. Honda has to take care of Design and Comfort of the Bike.
4. I think, the Bike will have a good chance to give a challenge to Passion Plus, but Not the Glamour, Discover.
5. If its Milega crosses 60 kmpl on road in Hyderabad city. then we can go for it.

Honda is being an outstanding automobile manufacturer. Unicorn is delivering a better performance when compared with the other models in that segment, the only drawback is that the external looks and the riding style&comfort have to be taken more care. There should be an option for the customers to go for alloy wheels.

Honda is at their worst with resepct to designing 2-wheelers aesthetically (looks). Also the recent add-on-stickers to Unicorn has done it more harm then goods. In short they have gone out of their minds and imagination and should take a leaf out our local Indian designer, while even a sadak chaap mechanic can design a better looking bike!!

Leaving the above other all areas are excellent and way beyond any nearest competition especially the engine refinement and the reliability. Well if you think I dont have one then its because of these refinement and reliability aspects that I continue to own a Honda Unicorn. Thank god I had an option of at least having a simple and plain-Jane looking unicorn (older version) rather then own the existing Red Indian with feathers all around and gender undecided??

well i have owned the honda unicorn for 1 year and three monts, i am from south india, kerala,
well my bike have no big problems, its going well, but niraj says about his bike?? UNLUCKY i would say, niraj sometimes there are manufacturing defects, which may be single type, well u were the unlucky guy, hey try sending ur compliants to honda head quarters in india, www.honda2wheelersindia.com,
and about my bike, its really doing good, i think diffrent people have different bike compliants relative to their riding conditions, well one i had was that part which covered the taillamp side had loads of vibrations and i went to the dealer, they told that it was the fibre which had a manufacturing defect and they replaced it with new ones, its now no problem, then other problem is that the material with which the side indicators is made is very fragile, it breaks in the side where we tighten it, other
one big problem for my bike is that the disk brake. well the disk brake isnt having the same response time as it had at the first time, they changed the disk brake pads 2 times,……. still no difference, i am not getting the same stopping speed as that of first time,
well one more thing
honda is always good when it comes to performance, and i even got 70km/litre for riding at 40-50 kmh, i used speed 93 at first since its octane no was 93, well 93 had the best power and performance …… no problems whatsoever with kick start, but when i used extarpremium it was a total looser, the bike had start problems, it didnt have the usual power and pickup, only thing was mielage…. and i think this extarpremium is not good for honda unicorn, now spped93 is out of production, now i use speed , well not that much difference but i wished we had petrol with much higher octane number…. then the performance would have been superb,
1 thing i must admit about honda is that they are very slow when it comes to updating the unicorn, now see pulsar, they made it so dfifferent within months, alloy wheels, different tyres, more sporty, nitroshock absorbers,…. what i like about our own bajaj is that they are so go when it comes to reacting to market tunes…
though i own a honda i have thumps up for pulsar coz its our indian bike,
if i had a chance to make a new version of honda,
i would have had a 3,4 versions launched simultaneously
i would have changed the front shield ,added a mileage guage, better disk brakes,much better seat cushion,
and devoid of the graphics they have now in unicorns, its a total looser, what good is it to paint the bike, if u have graphics all over it? i have a red honda, its gloss is so good, when i saw the new version,its tank was more graphics covered and i just hated it, happy that i bought the first version that the new 1…….
2,3 yrs from now i want to upgrade to a more stealthy version, some more ccs 250 maybe,
i havent seen shine, only in website,
it would have been much better if they just launced the honda unicorn body model with shine 125cc engine, coz it would be pretty good looking model for a 125cc,
well enough said , i am no engineer of honda, so all i can do is to imagine that 1 day they makebikes like what we dream of………
for people like us,……. its a very good bike market…
quality is going to increase, bajaj will try to produce more quality bikes since honda is theer,other companies as well.

HI this is my second post...........ITs been two months ive bought my unicorn ..............im having a very bad milage abt 35-37 in bangalore.ive finished my first service still the milege is the same ...the service guys say unicorn easily gives a milege of 55 in bangalore but sadly im only getting a pathetic 35......ive talked to some guys (unicorn owners) and they also said they are having the same milege 35-38 not above than 40....is it a common problem .if it is, it is soo pathetic with honda ... i would ve gone for pulsar 180 if ive known this milage issue before..and let this comment be an eyeopener for others..But in the last let me tell you unicorns driving comfort is unmatchable and the gear shift is soo smooth and im sure no other two wheeler in Indian road can give u this comfort...........but still milage problem stinks yaaar. real bad and that too 37 no way.........

I am using Honda Unicorn for the past 3 months.I had my two services done.The average milage i get is 51 KM/L.I
have touched the max speed of 106 KM/L that too not on full throttle.I didnt get any problem other than a little vibration
due to excessive disk brake usage n my fork had a problem.Other than this its really a no problem bike.

Plz one cannaot compare Bajaj Discover DTS-i with Honda Unicorn.I have already posted the advantages above so you can have
a look.Honda Unicorn is the only bike in indian market at 150cc class that has the best refined Engine and the best
gearbox.These are the only two issues one has to look out when buying a bike.The bikes like Bajaj Pulsar DTSi really lacks
in engine refinment and gearbox.

I have bought Honda Unicorn in 14th Nov.I had my first servce done at 1200 KMs.The bike had some vibrations in the
beginning but now not yet done the second service but the vibration is gone.The bike is smooth and giving me 50-55 km/l.

I will recommend the Honda Unicorn as a better option compared to all the others that you have listed. The main reason for
choosing this new Honda bike is its sturdy build quality, adequate power and, more important, revolutionary mono-
suspension at the rear. Much more than taking into consideration the peak power, in your specific case, the peak torque
rating, the build of the bike, strength of the suspension and the potential driving dynamics of the bike are more
important characteristics that you should be looking at.

The Unicorn will easily be rated as the most stable bike amongst its peers in the 150cc class. The advantage comes from
its mono-suspension, which is located just below the rider's seat position and at the junction of the bike's diamond frame
and its rectangular swing arms' axis.

suffering is unstable viser which creates a lot of noise. If it could have alloy wheels and wider tyre then it would be much
better.

Guys, i got my Unicorn in April 2004.I ahve been riding the bike for quite a long time and believe me ,there is not a single
prob that i have come across with this bike.the max speed i touched is 115 kms/hr. mileage is between 45-55 depending on
riding habits.IT ROCKS.Pulsar is good too but it might take a back seat when it comes to technology with Unicorn in mind.
Bike lovers, beware the silent monster is lurking in the woods and u would not even know when the silent monster will spray
dust in ur eyes and vaniskh in the horizon.

I bought Unicorn 6 months back i has the following problem in my bike which is not attended my dealer properly KUN Honda -
Adayar Chennai.

1. Headlight and doom is vibrating and making sound.

2. Ignition Key Lock is not smooth very hard. each time i am finding it difficult to ON.

3. The Side and Back Parts are vibrating and making nasty sounds which even TVS 50 wont do.

4. Front Brake is producing some nasty sounds during rainy season.

5. water in to petrol tank.

6. battery replaced because of some problem.

Can anyone help me out, how can i solve this problem. Each time i go the Dealer asks for the money for replacing each part.

The following things have not been kept in mind by Honda Unicorn manufacturers :1) Fuel tank lock - petrol filling as well as petrol locking. At least they should have thought of a novel method to provide tamper-proof Company-built petrol lock (this is in view of the current trend of the petrol cost where petrol pilfering is taking place) identical to the ignition key. The petrol filling cap & lock are identical to those provided by Hero Honda Passion. My experience has been that from these locks, water, particularly in the rainy season, finds its way into the fuel tank. I have had to replace the entire fuel due to this problem twice. I have been told by my friends who own Pulsar that they too have faced similar problems.

Honda Unicorn vibrating its tail

I daily travel between Malad and Santacruz on the western express highway. Its a common sight to come across Honda Unicorn
vibrating its tail !!!! Besides that it doesn't have alloy wheels, which actually could have boasted the fuel efficiency.
And no engine kill switch...to Hell to Honda for not producing world class product.

2005,after 2 months from the date of purchase got problem in Fibre black body, where the said part has been dulled viz.,in
the words black fibre body of left(Battery safety Cover), right and back side tyre and name plate fibre cover also felt
and dull full white. Hence get up of the bike and body also got down due to this reason.
So, please kindly advice and suggest about How to change this whole black fibre body with genuine and original part.My

So, please make suitabe arrangement to collect this whole fibre cover body with genuine and original part from the dealer.

Hi ... all this talk about the vibration in the Unicorn is exaggeration to its limit ... I am a proud owner of a Unicorn..
i brought it in june this year .... infact this is my first bike and i learnt driving a 2 wheeler on this bike itself ....
My experience with the Unicorn has been a fantastic one ... and when i went for the 1st free service , they changed all
the dampers and added some cowls or some thing like that to reduce the slight vibrations to a very low level ... i have
completed my second service and the bike runs fanastic as usual .. i did have some problems with the disc after the rains
... a visit to the service centre , the guys opened up the brake assembly and cleaned it with pressurised air being blown
into it and all the dust being removed ... and lo behold !... its working fine as ever !!!(ant that was at no charge at all
!! ) my bike had got submerged in the recent flash floods in mumbai ... the next day , i pushed the electric starter ,
the bike fired up and threw out all the water ... and ran all fine .... it was quite a while after the floods that i
serviced my bike for the second time ... no issues at all ... so i would like to sum it all up saying that , the Unicorn
is a fantastic product the u can buy right now and an absolute value for money .... n yes ... it does leave the pulsar way
behind specially in the mid range

Ur service is not good.Bike is good.my bike unicorn i buy in tirupati AP.Due to the failure of ur technology it gives
sound r vibration in back side covers.After u rectfly but my bike left side cover is broken due to the vibration. it has
warranty.but ur dealers r not replacing that they r eating that money.so pls try to replace my damage part .That sound is
there from starting day when i buy.

I am a frustrated customer of Honda Unicorn. I have problems with poor design of Honda Unicorn and the Quality of few Parts which is being used in Honda Unicorn. I got new Honda unicorn on 6th November. From the first day itself the Fuel Gauge is not working. I contacted the Honda Service (Silicon Motors), They told me to fill Minimum 5 liters of petrol. I did the same, still the Fuel gauge is not working. Again I contacted during the free service, service people said they will set it right. But unfortunately without replacing the fuel gauge did the service. But In the Job sheet was entered as FUEL GUAGE NOT WORKING.

One More Problem is with the TAIL LAMP and the side FIBER BODY. Which is poor designed. Since the back portion of Honda unicorn is not sturdy due to which the tail lamp vibrates, Because of the vibration the fiber body has broken within 6 months. This has not happened because of rough handling or accident. It is because of poor design. Again I contacted the Service they said they are going to charge 1000 Rs. (INR) for the replacement. I am very frustrated with the Quality Service by Honda.
